Our Story
From university struggles to financial empowerment platform
Neemug began in 2019 when our founder Sarah struggled to find practical financial guidance during her final year at university. Surrounded by student debt and facing the real world without proper money management skills, she realized thousands of students shared the same challenge. What started as informal workshops in London coffee shops has grown into a comprehensive platform serving young people across the UK.
Our Mission
We exist to bridge the gap between traditional education and real-world financial skills. Too many brilliant young minds graduate without understanding how money actually works in their daily lives.
Our approach focuses on practical application rather than theoretical concepts. We teach budgeting through real scenarios, investment principles using current market examples, and entrepreneurship through hands-on projects.
Our Vision
We envision a generation of financially literate young people who approach money with confidence rather than anxiety. By 2030, we want to see our alumni starting businesses, making informed investment decisions, and teaching financial skills to others.
Success for us means students who graduate knowing how to negotiate their first salary, who understand the true cost of debt, and who see entrepreneurship as an achievable path rather than an impossible dream.
Team & Culture

Learning-First Approach
Every team member brings both professional expertise and a genuine passion for teaching. Our content developers have backgrounds in finance, education, and entrepreneurship, but more importantly, they remember what it felt like to be overwhelmed by financial decisions.
Student-Centered Design
We regularly conduct focus groups with students from different universities and backgrounds. Their feedback directly shapes our curriculum updates, platform features, and teaching methods. What works in theory doesn't always work in practice, and we adjust accordingly.
